On 5th May this year, on the airfield in Nowe Miasto nad Pilicą, the air training of officer cadets conducted by the Academic Centre of Air Training began.

Every year a schedule of teaching and practical training of officer cadets is prepared. It states the domain of learning in each semester. In October 2019 uniform studies for military students were introduced. In their course basic training on planes and helicopters which are registered in the civil register of aircraft is conducted. The domain differs depending on the speciality of studies, but the aim is the same for all – gaining proper level of training and flying hours.

The schedule of training is created to best prepare officer cadets for the next step on military aircraft. Practical training lasts for a few weeks and students are provided with accommodation and board in Nowe Miasto nad Pilicą.

The Military University of Aviation is an innovative Polish military school with an established international status. It prepares air personnel for the growing needs of Polish Military Forces. The number of admitted military students has grown more than two times, which required adjusting the infrastructure to the needs of air training. That is why the school has been using the airfield in Nowe Miasto nad Pilicą since 2018 and training of officer cadets, civilian students and candidates for the “School of Eaglets” takes place there. Some training takes place on the airfield in Dęblin as well. The introduced system meets all standards and is being adjusted to the needs of Polish military aviation.
